In only one day over 360 Scouts aged between 14 – 18 years took to the water to try a Discover Scuba Diving experience at the Scout Association headquarters in July. The activity was part of the Scout Association’s Gilwell 24 event which is 24 hours of activities for young people and their leaders to explore exciting new activity ideas.

PADI, the pool event was co-ordinated by Dive Force Marine, a PADI 5* Instructor Development Centre located in Palmer’s Green, London. Owned and run by Jean and Terry Wheal for a number of years, Dive Force Marine has been key to making the dive pool a popular attraction and a great success at the Gilwell 24 event.
